Has anyone here read either of these books? I found them to be very interesting reads.

Here from behind my sight, my thoughts my mind
Show from the light
The time is right
And from the depth within show the balance
Of outer and inner harmony
Mind and heart, soul and spirit undivided
Here's where teh true strength and beauty lies
We'll see this before us with our own eyes
We'll see, with our own eyes... LOVE

D showed me a link to those books. I actually found them pretty ridiculous. I mean, if you have to pretend to be someone else in order to find "love" then, that's kinda fucked up. I'll admit that in my weak moments I have thought about reading that book and becoming a seductress, but I think that would be harmful in the long fun because you still won't find what you are looking for.

Some people say all the want to do is fuck, but I really think that is kinda a lie. Okay, so they want to get off and cum, but at the same time I think most are craving that connection and unable to admit it to themselves. This is why I have tried to stop making my life revolve around getting action, because really, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find it when I'm ready.

If you need a book to tell you how to manipulate people, then you'll probably fuck it up anyway and shouldn't even try. Manipulations usually cause more stress and heartache in the end, I've always been a huge advocate of just being yourself. Yeah, people will mock the fuck out of you, but at least you won't have to live a lie and usually you'll be able to surround yourself with a cool group of people who accept you as you are.

But, if you really are that desperate for emotional connection, maybe it would be good for you to read those books since most people are retarded.

Well actually they are more about social interactions in general then pretending to be someone you're not. They explain how your actions can be perceived by others and working towards maintaining your own identity. I think they are really cool books, although for the most part a lot of the things they advise are fairly shady but most of them are reasonably effective.

I especially like the style in which after every rule they give you a positive example of following the rule in history or literature , a negative example of not following the rule, and then times in which the rule doesn't work.

It's a really interesting read that I wouldn't knock solely on its "evil" style of delivery.

In regards to the pretending to be someone else comment I agree completely, trying to cover yourself in this false persona isn't really going to help you. This doesn't mean that if what you are doing right now isn't working you should keep at it since it's who you are. When it comes to attracting the opposite sex it's definitely about advertising yourself. You don't have to be someone else, but if you don't make yourself noticeable in a crowd then no one will really get to know who you are.

It's not about acting like someone else, but improving what you already have (humor, attitude, storytelling abilities, etc.) Real talk.

I remember reading that book and him talking about his friend who hated all women and played SNES while screaming about superheroes and was also described as attractive and i thought to myself, "I need to find one of those."
